MARKETTIERS PROUDLY SUPPORTS THE WORLD’S FIRST EVER SNAP EVENT - SNAPHAPPEN

markettiers supported the world’s first Snap event in London, learning from the leading Snapchatters how brands can use the platform to engage consumers and using mainstream broadcast media to drive mass awareness.

Snaphappen - the world’s first Snap conference run BY the community FOR the community - brought the biggest and best Snapchatters to the UK this month. With a combined audience of over 200 million followers it provided the first opportunity for brands and businesses to meet global Snapchatters and hear how they can most effectively use the social media platform as a marketing tool to grow and engage with audiences.

As pioneers and early adopters of the latest media channels, we were thrilled when asked by the Founder to support the event and raise its profile with regional, national and international broadcasters.

The markettiers team spent the weeks leading up to event contacting national and London centric broadcasters to invite them along and ultimately create buzz around Snaphappen.  The campaign reached an audience of over 70 million around the world, with coverage highlights including interviews with YouTube sensation and Snapchatter Tanner Fox on BBC World Service, BBC Online, BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat and Capital FM.

Take a look at his Youtube video of the event - he has 2 million Youtube subscribers! – and see if you can spot our team taking him to BBC World studios … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kohDt_XElf4

The first Snap influencer, Shonduras, also shared insights on how to build a brand on Snapchat, including such tips as growing your following through creative and engaging content, using influencers to help give you more exposure and trying to encourage followers you have on other social channels to follow you on Snapchat by using the ghost code on your avatar, as we did for the day.
