Having been brought on board for the second year running, markettiers were charged with leveraging Cisco’s presence at the 35th annual GITEX Technology Week to create content and further cement its position as the de-facto voice on the Internet of Things.
Early during the week, Cisco was also holding a press conference, which would see key personnel from the company, as well as analysts IDC and GBM discuss Smart Cities and the Internet of Things, and importantly, provide the opportunity for Cisco to reveal its digital acceleration strategy for how companies in the Middle East can embrace the digital era.
In order to support both the press conference and to highlight Cisco’s presence at GITEX, markettiers4dc filmed across a series of days at the event and at the press conference to enable a video feature package to be created. Featuring key soundbites from the General Manager of Cisco UAE, IDC and GBM, a news package was edited together on site at GITEX to tell the story of Cisco’s expertise around the Internet of Things. Ahead of this, careful pre-planning saw markettiers4dc script the content, source library footage to illustrate key points, and create a narrative voiceover to tell the story. All of these elements were then brought together on location as the edit took place in both English and Arabic, with the resulting content being sold in to media.
The English language version has so far resulted in coverage on Arabian Business, Security News Middle East, Capital Business Middle East, Intelligent CIO and Gulf News 24/7.
