markettiers help break third world record in as many months as wasl Asset Management celebrate the ‘Year of Zayed’.

When wasl Asset Management organised the world’s largest aerial video projection screen - the size of an NFL pitch and 30 feet wider than the height of London’s Big Ben - to soar above the Dubai skyline, our role was to maximise the exposure for the brand, utilising a variety of visual assets including video content and photography, shot from the air via helicopter and from seven exclusive vantage points across the city.


On the day of the record attempt, our crew were on site from the early afternoon to capture aerial and ground level content.  Amongst our strategies for capturing dynamic and engaging content were working with an additional helicopter, joining those towing the screen and projecting the film, to capture the footage from up close.  This third helicopter delivered a live feed to locations across Dubai and simultaneously recorded content that was used to produce a Video News release in English and Arabic, for local and international media.  


In addition to the striking visuals, interviews were delivered with influencers, the wasl Asset Management CEO, His Excellency Hesham Abdulla al Qassim, and a representative from Guinness World Records to certify that the record was indeed broken.


With the team editing overnight, both an English and Arabic version of the content were delivered in the early hours of the following morning, with the still images edited simultaneously to bolster the offering to media. Once approved, the visual assets were distributed and sold in to regional and international media who had been primed to expect the footage the next day.


Over the next 24 hours coverage appeared on 30+ targeted regional and international sites and counting including Gulf News, Al Bayan, Governmental of Dubai Media Office, Sky News Arabia, Gulf Business, Al Arabiya,  AOL, BT, Yahoo! and more, continuing to mount over the following days.  The Gulf News coverage alone delivered over 327,000 views in the first 24 hours.
