For the second year running Argos were the first major retailer to release their list, further cementing their status as the UK’s leading toy retailer.
We revealed this year’s predictions via a pre-shot glittering red carpet event and shared with journalists across the spectrum to engage and steal a march over other toy retailers, as both bricks and mortar and digital retail teams gear up for this year's festive season. The campaign was carefully orchestrated to achieve maximum media appeal via a tight sell-in window given the commercially sensitive nature of the reveal.
Coverage appeared on the likes of BBC Breakfast, Sky News Radio, talkRADIO, LBC, Absolute, talkSport, Heart London, Magic London and 10 regional BBCs including Manchester, Scotland, Surrey, Merseyside and Humberside. Combined outreach across TV, radio, print press and online resulted in 371 opportunities being secured, with the reach in excess of 320 million.
