markettiers worked with Volkswagen Middle East to deliver broadcast coverage online during February 2019, across both local and regional media outlets, to help create further awareness of Dub Drive GCC 2019.

 

The Brief

Deliver an integrated communications strategy, to further build upon the success of VW’s yearly Dub Drive event which brought together VW enthusiasts from the GCC to Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. markettiers was tasked to capture all highlights, including the convoy of 300 Volkswagen cars that drove through the streets of Abu Dhabi, drone video and drone photo content, and interviews with VW’s spokespeople across two days.

 

Delivery

Production – Video and PTCs

  • The team provided the crew on direction on the shots, angles and soundbites to make the content most appealing to media. Editing on site and subsequently in our off site edit suites, on a quick turnaround basis, English and Arabic-subtitled versions of the video news release were delivered for immediate approval to be distributed to media, as well as 2 x 60 second cuts for social media. Watch the video here: https://vimeo.com/316360499 , this was then delivered to media the morning following the event, capitalising on the news value of the content.
  • markettiers also supported with capturing additional pieces-to-camera for media attendees and separate video exports of both VNR’s without music, delivering these on a hard drive to the retained PR agency, to further support with their individual media coverage.

This enabled us to land opportunities and coverage with 30+ media outlets including Motoring Middle East, YallaMotor, Karage TV, Motoraty, AME Info, Drive ME, Sport Auto Middle East, Arabs Turbo and Strive Middle East amongst others.
