Londons Burning

Promoting a multi-camera live stream of a global event

Challenge:

A 120 metre replica sculpture of the City of London was set ablaze on the Thames to commemorate 350 years since the Great Fire. The installation, London 1666, was part of London’s Burning, a festival of arts centred around the anniversary. Our challenge was to work with our client Artichoke UK to promote the multi-camera live stream which was presented by Lauren Laverne.

Solution:

We liaised with the UK’s leading media to embed the live stream on their websites and to use the footage on TV. We placed video content in advance to drive maximum interest and engagement with the stream.

Results:

Pre-promotional coverage included features within Huffington Post, BBC Arts, City AM, Daily Express, BBC Newsround, The Independent and many more top-tier sites. We’re also handling the UK and Global B Roll outreach. The Evening Standard, ITV London, Telegraph, Time Out, The Mirror & City AM amongst a host of others carried the stream live.
