To coincide with the start of the 2015/16 football season and launch of the new ACE15 and X15 boots, adidas took over part of the Lambeth Council community project Pop Brixton and we were on hand to capture and share the most exciting moments with fans and influencers across the UK and around the world.
For six days, straddling the opening weekend of Barclays Premier League fixtures, the interactive BaseBrixton installation played host to high-energy football challenges, including a 2V2 tournament as part of the global Be The Difference campaign, as well as player appearances culminating in the Manchester United Football Cub away kit launch.
From Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs dropping in to judge the 2V2 tournament on the opening night and freestylers showing off their moves, to Ashley Young, Juan Mata, Daley Blind and Anders Herrera appearing on the final day to launch adidas MUFC away kit, our team were on site filming and editing videos tailored for the adidas social channels.
A series of 16 x 10 second videos were produced for Snapchat, seeded via an innovative partnership with the Bleacher Report to ensure they appeared in the Discover section of the platform, whilst 2 x 15 second videos were produced for optimal engagement on Facebook and Instagram.
Finally, a 60 second event wrap was produced so the adidas UK team could show their international colleagues what a huge success the event and content outputs were.
