BMW i3 launch

markettiers4dc worked with BMW for the launch of its first electric car, the i3, managing the UK broadcast media relations for both the unveiling and the celeb-laden post-launch party.

On the day of the unveil, markettiers4dc took BMW's Global Sales and Marketing Director, Ian Robertson, to the BBC for a 05.30 start live on BBC World TV. This was followed by lives at Radio 5's Wake Up To Money, CNBC, Bloomberg TV and CNN. All the TV interviews were backed by edited B-Roll.

The live stream of the simultaneous launches in London, Beijing and New York were aggregated to dozen sites including the Sunday Times and Mailonline. Markettiers4dc then set up Ian Robertson for interviews at the Old Billingsgate launch site with Reuters, BBC TV, BBC World Service Radio, Sky News, PA Online and Germany's ZDF on site, while at the same time filming, editing and distributing B-Roll of the launch to TV stations and websites.

In the evening markettiers4dc filmed BMW's post-launch party and immediately edited a video featuring exclusive red-carpet interviews with A-list hosts, Sienna Miller and James Franco, plus Poppy Delevigne, Donna Air, Wretch 32, Oliver Cheshire and Amber Le Bon. The video was seeded into numerous entertainment online media portals such as Marie Claire, Mailonline, Cosmopolitan, Digital Spy, Entertainmentwise, the Mail, Express, Metro, Mirror, Standard and Yahoo Lifestyle as well as style sites such as Because I am Fabulous, Diary of a Clotheshorse, Style Blazer and The Style Lane.

The video we created for the evening launch party was edited overnight and aggregated to entertainment websites the next day.
