The ship docked in Southampton Water flanked by her sisters Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria and was greeted by a host of high-profile guests. The vessel then set sail for New York, continuing her schedule of iconic transatlantic crossings, a unique journey that has been enjoyed across the decades by famous guests including Audrey Hepburn, Clarke Gable and Winston Churchill.
markettiers was tasked with maximising broadcast coverage and increasing awareness around the relaunch of the Queen Mary 2 as well as solidifying Cunard’s position as the industry leader in the luxury cruise market. In order to achieve this, we recommended a variety of tactics, including TV and radio interviews conducted through a dockside satellite truck and radio outside broadcast unit. In addition our video production team spent three days documenting her refurbishment and inaugural voyage to create B-Roll for TV and multiple edits for online, including a news package, luxury feature and lifestyle/travel feature.
