markettiers4dc launch Government National Stroke Awareness initiative
This week markettiers4dc helped launch the government’s national stroke awareness initiative, the third leading cause of death in the UK with 300,000 sufferers.
The Department of Health’s 3-year, £12 million campaign to promote public awareness around the condition, aims to increase public understanding of the signs of a stroke and how to act on it, by promoting its key message ‘FAST’ – Face, Arm, Speech, Time to call 999.
Recognising the signs and response time of a stroke is essential – so to get this message across to a wide and vast audience markettiers4dc conducted a series radio interviews to educate the public, with Professor Roger Boyle, National Director for Heart Disease and Stroke as campaign spokesperson.
markettiers4dc achieved coverage across 23 radio stations, including interviews with both IRN and Sky News Radio, as well as Xfm, TalkSPORT, Kiss, regional BBC stations (BBC Southern Counties, BBC West Midlands, BBC Kent) and Capital Gold including in Greater London and Greater Manchester.
The government campaign will continue to spread the word about National Stroke awareness across the country for the next 3 years.
