First view of Dubai Opera revealed

markettiers facilitated the unveiling of the iconic “Dubai Opera” for first time by driving awareness about the pioneer architect behind it, Atkins, featuring Janus Rostock on leading local and international broadcast stations

Challenge:

markettiers was tasked with bolstering media exposure and audience awareness locally and internationally, prior to the opening of Dubai Opera. With no official access to the Dubai Opera theatre itself ahead of the launch, our team sought to maximise access to available assets by placing Janus Rostock, Head of Architecture and Urban Design at Atkins, on several leading broadcast news channels worldwide.

Solution:

markettiers used its extensive media relations contacts with English and Arabic journalists across multiple geographies for Dubai Opera’s initial opening. Utilising media contacts from the United Kingdom all the way to the United Arab Emirates to secure coverage on international, regional and local news stations.

Results:

markettiers managed to secure a total of seven interviews within August (five on TV and two on radio), with English and Arabia media channels. These broadcast channels included international and local programmes: BBC World Service “Newshour”, BBC World TV “Business Live”, Bloomberg TV “Middle East Markets”, Dubai Eye (103.8) “Business Breakfast”, Dubai One’s “Emirates News” and Dubai TV “#MAL” business show. Several planned on-site filming requests have already been lodged down the pipeline till the “official” opening of Dubai Opera.
