The ECB partnered with markettiers4dc to launch the new LV= County Championship season with a special live edition of new monthly magazine show, ‘Goughie’s LV= County Catch-up’.
Building on the successful TwelfthMan engagement programme, an interactive WebTV show was produced and streamed live at 20:00 on 3rd April on the ECB Facebook page to coincide with the start of the season.
Presenter Darren Gough was joined in the studio by Surrey captain Rory Hamilton-Brown and Lancashire captain Glen Chapple, to discuss last year’s tournament, preview the 2012 Championship and field questions from viewers.
The event was promoted in advance via the ECBs social media platforms and a variety of paid media and Goughie also encouraged his followers on Twitter to get involved with timely tweets in the build-up. The response was fantastic, with highly engaged cricket fans enjoying the live 40 minute event and those who missed it able to watch the on demand version which was available the following day.
