markettiers was on hand to maximise coverage for Dubai’s largest theme park, Dubai Parks and Resorts, which is now officially open for business
markettiers was briefed to maximise broadcast coverage for the official opening of Dubai Parks and Resorts, the largest and newest theme park destination in the Middle East. The theme park, comprising LEGOLAND, Motiongate and Bollywood Parks, is the first integrated theme park in the region and was opened by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum with a huge event and firework display to mark the occasion.
In order to gain interest, markettiers’ Dubai and UK offices worked together to pre-sell-in interview opportunities both locally and internationally and to alert broadcasters to the video content they were to expect a few hours after the opening. On the day, markettiers’ crew captured interviews with the heads of the parks, created B-Roll, and an English and Arabic subtitled cut package that was edited on site to capitalise on the news element of the story. A live feed was also taken from a satellite truck that was broadcasting the inauguration ceremony exclusively to Dubai TV, meaning that markettiers was able to capitalise on the drone footage and helicopter shots as part of the performance.
Working in conjunction with the PR agency, Asda’a BM, the team also secured Sky News Arabia, CCTV, Al Dafrah and Reuters to attend the event and they put together their respective packages. The urgency and speed of the on-site edit meant that the team was able to deliver all content to journalists inboxes overnight. Thus far coverage has been secured with the following:
