markettiers4dc worked with Frank PR to secure high calibre broadcast interviews to promote the return of Lara Croft, 16 years on from her original release, and the launch of Square Enix’s new game Tomb Raider.
Capitalising on the recent popularity of character re-boots, such as James Bond and Batman, the game shows a new side to Lara Croft and had the arts and gaming media chomping at the bit to find out more.
markettiers4dc managed all aspects of the broadcast campaign and secured interviews with Lara Croft expert and Life President of Eidos, Ian Livingstone and Tomb Raider story writer Rhianna Pratchett. Both spokespeople were on hand to speak about what could be expected from the re-boot and what this launch meant for the gaming world. Rhianna and Ian also discussed the changing face of the gaming industry and how important women are for the sector which greatly appealed to radio shows like Woman’s Hour.
Results:
- 9 Radio Interviews were secured – 1 International, 5 National, 3 Regional with a potential audience reach of 31,520,000.
- Coverage Included – Rhianna on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour discussing Tomb Raider and women in gaming. BBC Radio 4's Front Row and BBC World Service's The Strand reviewing Tomb Raider and BBC 5 Live's Up All Night chatting to Ian and Rhianna.
