Following the blanket international coverage achieved for the record-breaking fireworks display on Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, this week markettiers have again been supporting the Ras al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority as they broke yet another a Guinness World Record: the world’s longest zip-line.
Using multiple static cameras, drones, timelapse footage and GoPros, markettiers’ crew filmed hero shots of the zipline over a series of three months, from announcement to completion.
Despite a hectic schedule of VIPs and dignitaries attending on the day of opening, and the logistics of filming on a challenging landscape of rocky mountains 1,600m above sea level, the team captured stellar footage of the very first flights down the zipline, with riders flying in a superman position at up to 150kph. Along with still images of the Guinness World Record certification, the unique suspended launch platform and the size and scale of the zipline from an aerial perspective, we ensured that online channels would also be furnished with photographs as well as video footage to tell the story of this bucket list attraction.
We also secured media attendance to see the zipline and try it out for themselves, including Associated Press amongst many others.
An overnight edit has ensured we can capitalise on media interest and newsworthiness to deliver a Video News Release in English and Arabic, as well as B-Roll footage and an edit for social channels.
Co-ordinating between the Dubai and London offices of markettiers, and the wider roster of regional and international PR agencies, key markets including the UK, Germany and Russia all had access to the footage and imagery from first thing on the morning following the event.
Early indications on coverage show interest from Reuters, CNN Arabic, Sky News, ITN, Sun online and the Press Association among others.
“Just want to say how amazing it was to work on the project with you and your teams. I really appreciate how wonderful you really are to work with – extremely patient, accommodating, cheerful and talented. We are so happy with the video and I just wanted to say – you guys are officially amazing!”
