National Seafood Week 2016

markettiers worked with Seafish for the 2nd consecutive year to help engage the British public around National Seafood Week

Challenge:

markettiers were tasked with creating positive discussion and engagement with Seafish around National Seafood Week, positioning them as the voice of authority and expertise when discussing seafood, as well as educating consumers on a broad range of seafood varieties and health benefits and advising on how to prepare and cook fish, both fresh and frozen.

Solution:

To help bring the campaign to life and demonstrate the wide variety of seafood available to consumers, we produced an online video feature of Billingsgate market, with CJ Jackson, CEO of Billingsgate Seafood School, discussing the history of the site, her favorite fish and offering advice of recipes for those who may be slightly nervous about preparing fish at home. To supplement this, we conducted a morning of broadcast interviews to launch Seafood Week, with CJ, Andy Gray of Seafish and nutritionist Juliette Kellow our spokespeople, who spoke passionately and informatively about the seafood industry, encouraging people to step out of their comfort zone and try something new.

Results:

Overall we achieved 59 items of broadcast coverage with highlights including talkRADIO, Heart, Metro Radio and BBC Lancashire, with a potential audience reach of approx. 7m and an AVE in excess of £115k.
