In February 2016, markettiers once again led the broadcast news agenda with its coverage of the report ‘Property Millionaires: The Great Housing Divide’.

Produced by Santander Mortgages and Paul Cheshire, Professor of Economic Geography at LSE, the report forecasted the number of UK properties worth over £1 million will triple by 2030.

Whilst this is good news for existing home owners whose properties will soar in value, the steep growth will make it increasingly difficult for youngsters to get onto the property ladder.

markettiers were tasked with leveraging national and regional TV and radio opportunities for the Professor and Graham Sellar, Santander’s Head of Mortgage Business Development, explaining the options available to mortgage seekers.

On campaign day, coverage began early with Steph McGovern’s branded report on BBC Breakfast. Sky News Radio, the largest provider of news to the commercial radio network, made story copy available to their 300+ commercial stations resulting in breakfast bulletin reads across the entire Global radio network.

The Professor went live into Sky News and BBC News Channel from their studios, while he and Graham conducted national radio interviews with Share Radio and Jazz FM and a host of regional BBC and commercial stations.
