Ras Al Khaimah - UAE's highest concert

Over the weekend, markettiers MENA worked on a first for the United Arab Emirates’ – the country’s highest ever concert ever took place 1,600 meters up on Jebel Jais mountain in Ras Al Khaimah. In order to highlight the credentials of Ras Al Khaimah as a destination that brings cultural events to the country, markettiers were on-boarded to maximise the noise for the event.

After recceing the venue earlier in the week, markettiers’ team were on site on Friday to film a time-lapse of the setup of the concert on key vantage points around the mountain to highlight the concert venue. We also used our drone to make sure we captured key shots of the concert taking place, which included songs from Vivaldi under the name Vivaldianno –  A City of Mirrors. In addition, our photographers were on hand to capture images of the event to accompany all content produced.

Editing over night the team got back to base at Midnight on Friday. By 5am the team had edited an English and Arabic Video News Release, as well as B-Roll to support TV coverage. In addition, our photographers also edited overnight and we released some key shots with the material for media owners immediately upon approval.

Following a pre-sell in coverage has so far featured on 21 channels including CNN Arabic, Dubai TV, London Evening Standard, MSN, Yahoo and AOL. Regional coverage has so far included all of the major news sites in the region including the UAE’s largest news sites, Gulf News, The National,  Khaleej Times and Arabian Business.
