Christmas upon us in December so we are ensuring that we encourage listeners to prepare properly for the festive season by discussing the formula (through consumer research) for getting Christmas right

markettiers partnered Currys PC World to discuss the stresses of Christmas. Rachel Riley helped devise a scientific formula revealing how likely it is that we get our Christmas shopping right this year

Solution:

A study carried out by Currys PC World revealed that the majority of Brits (59%) struggle to deal with thought of Christmas shopping so much that we don’t start buying our presents until a month before the big day. Mathematician and TV presenter Rachel Riley and Essex University statistician Dr Dai to devise the Science of Getting it Right formula – a unique scientific formula showing the probability of getting all your presents right this Christmas. To create a talking point, Rachel Riley fronted the campaign and was brilliant at delivering all the key messages efficiently and passionately.

Results:

Great coverage was secured. The team secured an impressive amount of opportunities, a total of 13 opportunities including highlights such as; Sky Sunrise, talkSPORT (2,857,000), BBC Radio Lancashire (211,000) and BBC WM (220,000). The total audience reach totaled to 46,465,300 with an AVE in excess of £42k.
