The Havens Wake Up To Rape Broadcast Campaign

markettiers4dc recently undertook a campaign working with Think Espionage to raise awareness of the existence of and work done by London based sexual assault referral centres; the Havens. We developed and conducted research through our market research agency – Opinion Matters to identify the views and opinions of Londoners on the topic of rape, surveying both men and women and revealing some startling results, providing us with the platform to discuss the hugely contentious issue of rape and who is to blame.

We achieved coverage on more than 127 outlets with an audience reach of more than 37 million including BBC Online, Sky News Radio, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio London, BBC London TV evening news, ITV London Tonight and Channel Five News.

The campaign also sparked debate domestically and globally with a 30 minute debate on Radio 4’s Moral Maze, a 15 minute feature on ITV’s This Morning and coverage appearing on USA Today – all discussing and crediting the survey that had been conducted.

Liana Wilson-Fricker from Think Espionage said ‘Independent research into the effectiveness of the campaign revealed 29% of Londoners found out about the Havens from TV and radio coverage around the Wake Up To Rape report. This is a testament to the expertise and insight provided by the Markettiers4dc team.
