PUMA Night time runners ignite London streets

To celebrate the launch of IGNITE, PUMA’s new performance running shoe, influential running journalists and bloggers were invited to take part in a night time race around London. Split into three teams, the amateur runners were briefed by marathon man Chris Thompson and advised they would need both speed and their ability to decipher clues on where to run to ultimately win the race.

Mentored by Chris Thompson and fellow GB runner Susan Partridge, the race started at the iconic Leadenhall Market, before taking in the Barbican Centre and finishing at Spitalfields, with the winning team setting off a flare to celebrate.

Our role at the event was to capture content and edit a central video asset for owned channels, as well as bespoke videos for the attending media to upload alongside their articles about the event.

Using a combination of handheld and body mounted cameras to capture the runners in action, along with a static camera outside the PUMA HQ to record their post-race reaction and comments on the shoe, we were able to produce exciting short form videos, successfully showcasing the new shoe whilst controlling positive messaging on website and blogs including The Running Blog, The Running Bug, The Daily Street and Lunges & Lycra.
